Hibiscus festival venue yet to be confirmed

THE 2018 Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus festival will be held next month however the venue is yet to be confirmed.

Hibiscus Events Group chairman Hirdesh Prasad said the festival will be held in August from the 10th to the 18th.

“We will be releasing the mention of the venue tomorrow or maybe this afternoon,” Mr Prasad said.

Meanwhile he said the committee have chosen the contestants that will be competing in five categories.

Mr Prasad said the contestants were chosen in May this year – 12 Queen contestants, 12 contestants will feature in the King’s category, 10 Teen contestants, nine Princess and six Prince contestants.

“This year’s theme will be focused on the environment on the 5 R’s: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle,” Mr Prasad said.
