Corporate food processing company Food Processors (Fiji) Pte Limited is targeting $6 million in sales this year as it continues to expand its export market base.

Company chairperson Raj Sharma said the company recorded $3.86m in total sales in 2023, increasing to $4.91m in 2024 before easing to $4.39m last year.

“Export sales have become an increasingly important part of the business,” Mr Sharma said.

He said the company had seen an increase in export sales also for the last three years.

“The company recorded $1.5m in export sales in 2023, representing 38 per cent of total sales.

“This increased to $2.6m in 2024, accounting for 52 per cent of sales, before reaching $1.98m last year, representing 45 per cent of total sales.”

Food Processors’ export markets include the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

He said the company had also made a strong start to 2026.

“For 2026, up to June, we have already achieved $2.63m in sales, which is approximately $900,000 higher than the same period last year. We are confident in achieving $6 million in sales for 2026.”

However, he added the company’s performance should not only be measured through its financial results.

“Behind these numbers are farmers, workers, suppliers, family and community.”

The company’s growing export business has also created opportunities for local agricultural producers by providing a market for locally produced commodities that can be processed and sold overseas.

He said the company’s focus remained on strengthening its operations while creating commercial opportunities for farmers and communities.
