Preparations for the 2024 Fiji Finals is well on track.

The Fiji Finals, also known as the Coca-Cola Games, is expected to have about 3000 athletes take centre stage over three days.

Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association president Marika Uluinaceva said despite general secretary Vuli Waqa being away sick, preparations had so far been on par.

“Mr Waqa is still our general secretary and we have given him time to recover as he is sick. But that hasn’t stopped us from doing the best possible in preparations for the Games this year,” Uluinaceva said.

Uluinaceva wished Waqa a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, the association president added there would be more programs this year for athletes to qualify for the finals.

“We will be holding more programs compared to previous years so that more athletes can qualify for the finals.”

The Coca-Cola Games will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva from May 2-4.
