2022 General Election : Naitoko travels on horse back to vote

SIXTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD farmer Sikeli Naitoko travelled on horseback for almost two kilometres in order to cast his vote at Loqi Community Hall, located in the interior of Nadi.

“I do not want to miss the opportunity to vote as I feel it will be very decisive,” he said.

The 2022 General Election would be the fifth time Mr Naitoko has voted over his lifetime.

“We all have to take part in this important national process.

“The candidate that I have voted for, I expect him to win the general election because I believe his leadership will take us through.”

He said this year’s general elections had been eagerly anticipated by a lot of people.

Another voter, Vuniani Navuoro, was among the first people to cast his vote at the Vagadra Community Hall, in the interiors of Nadroga on Thursday.

“We hope for the best and anticipate a better future for all of us,” he said.
