2018 OFC Women’s Nations Cup: Fiji to play PNG

THE Vodafone Fiji women’s football team go into the match against Papua New Guinea as underdogs when the teams meet in the semi-final of the 2018 OFC Women’s Nations Nation’s Cup in New Caledonia today.

Fiji has qualified to the semi-finals for the first time since 1998.

PNG thumped Fiji 3-nil the last time they met in 2010.

Fiji qualified to the tournament from a preliminary tournament but beat teams like Tonga and Cook Islands in the pool stages and went down to New Zealand setting up a clash against PNG in the semis.

The match kicks off at 5pm today.
