THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber knows the only way to beat the tough oppositions in his pool is to raise the tempo of the game to tire out the oppositions. With the national side boosted with the inclusion of one of the best outside centre combination in France-based Semi Radradra and Josua Tuisova in the London 7s this weekend, Baber knows lifting Fiji’s game to fast pace, high intensity physical confrontation and denying oppositions possessions could work in his favour. This is because Fiji has been placed in one of its toughest pools this weekend in the World Rugby Sevens Series. “We need to continually concentrate on what we do well,” Baber said from London. Fiji top seeds Pool A against Commonwealth Games champion New Zealand, Scotland and Argentina. “All three teams present different challenges and shall certainly offer us a physical battle. It is important that we bring tempo to the game and to be continually efficient with our possession. “There are two or three different style in our pool approaching London. Argentina have an intensity without the ball, they look to go hard at you early in attack and defence so we have been getting prepared for that element. “Scotland, the threat there is akin to northern hemisphere 7s, creating width on the game with good passing skills, and coming on to the ball at pace. New Zealand? We pretty much go toe-to-toe with them.” He said the side needed to finish well to secure a quarter-final spot. Defending champion Scotland is confident of winning the London 7s title for three consecutive years while New Zealand will be hungry to avenge its loss to Fiji at the Singapore 7s while Argentina is expected to defy all odds using their physical game to upset Fiji. Baber will have to hold his cards closer to his chest before unleashing three Fijian beasts in Toulon players Semi “The Trailer” Radradra and Josua”The Bus” Tuisova alongside Eroni ‘The Sledgehammer” Sau. The trio have been named in the final 12-member team to feature this weekend. Other players selected include skipper Jerry Tuwai, Amenoni Nasilasila, Vatemo Ravovou, Kalione Nasoko, Josua Vakurunabili, Jasa Veremalua, Paula Dranisinukula, Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Waisea Nacuqu.
