THE information telecommunication sector has been allocated close to $40million.
In his 2018-2019 National Budget address, Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the ICT sector has made a considerable amount of impact over recent years.
He said new incentives would include an increase in public WiFi hotspots all over Fiji including all Fiji National University campuses and $500,000 would be allocated for telecentres to construct six new centres.
He added that 35 centres would be available to provide data for rural areas.
