FIJI is set to host the 14th Oceania Swimming Championship from May 8-13.
The prestigious event will bring together top swimmers from across the Pacific, turning the spotlight firmly on Fiji Swimming and its growing reputation in the sport.
Tournament manager Eugene Panuve expresses his excitement, describing the championship as a milestone moment.
“Hosting the Oceania Swimming Championship is a big opportunity for Fiji Swimming, not only to showcase local talent, but also to demonstrate the country’s ability to deliver world-class sporting events,” Panuve said.
Preparations have been underway for months, with officials working tirelessly to ensure facilities meet international standards.
“Volunteers, coaches, and athletes alike are eager to welcome visiting teams and create a memorable experience both in and out of the pool,” he said.
The championship is expected to inspire a new generation of swimmers in Fiji.
“Young athletes will have the rare chance to witness elite performance up close, motivating them to pursue excellence in the sport.”
