THE Vodafone Fiji football side and Solomon Islands played to a 1-all draw in an international friendly match at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.

Micah Lea’alafa put the visitors in the lead mid-way in the first spell while Fiji’s Roy Krishna equalized for the home side from a penalty spot in the second spell.

Both teams tried hard to find the winner in the final quarter but failed to do so.

Solomon Islands Alvin Hoe was sent off late in the match for a second bookable offense.

On debut, Scott Wara played an authoritative role in mid-field and nearly grabbed a goal as well from a Krishna cross.

Fiji now prepares for their next match against Singapore on September 11.
