Yasawa Rugby has been relegated to the Vodafone Vanua competition after their 18-26 defeat to Malolo at Churchill Park.
The battle for the remaining two spots in the Skipper Cup competition is now between Namosi, Vatukoula, and Malolo, as confirmed by Fiji Rugby Union tournament director Jikoibau Matawalu.
In other results, Namosi narrowly defeated Vatukoula 21-18, boosting their confidence to remain in the Skipper Cup.
The current standings show Malolo leading with 9 points, followed by Namosi with 6 points, and Vatukoula with 5 points.
Next week’s matches are crucial with Malolo will face Vatukoula and the winner will secure a spot in the Skipper Cup.
Additionally, Namosi will face Yasawa in the final round
“Which ever team wins in the Malolo-Vatukoula match books its spot in the Skipper and Namosi will play Yasawa in the final round,” Matawalu said.
