A STRONG wind warning remains in force for the land areas of Lau and Lomaiviti group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Southern and Northern Viti Levu.
The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 10:45am today also says a heavy rain warning remains in force for Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Eastern half and interior of Viti Levu and Lomaiviti group.
A heavy rain alert remains in force for Northern Lau group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.
A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the group.
It is expected to affect the country till the weekend.
Meanwhile, a high pressure system to the far southwest of Fiji directs a strong east to southeast wind flow over the group.
