The 2026 crushing season at the Labasa Sugar Mill will officially end on Wednesday.
Sugar Industry Tribunal Semi Leweniqila has issued an order directing the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) to terminate crushing operations at the mill on that date.
In a press release issued today, the Tribunal said the decision was made following consultations with the chief executive officers of the Sugar Cane Growers Council and the Fiji Sugar Corporation.
The Tribunal has urged all sugarcane growers and harvesting gangs supplying the Labasa Mill to make every effort to harvest their remaining cane and deliver it to the mill by tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3.
