FIJI Airways Fiji 7s players started their Turnbull Namamanuca 7s campaign with a bang thumping Vunibaka 28-5 at Namamanuca Primary School ground in Yanuya this morning.
Star players such as Kalione Nasoko, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Vatemo Ravouvou, Kitione Taliga, Waisea Nacuqu, Apenisa Cakaubalavu, Terry Tamani and new find Napolioni Ratu played for the DM 7s.
The backline combination of Ravouvou, Nacuqu, Ratu and Tamani created havoc for the opposition as the teams set its target on winning the $3,500 top prize money on offer.
Other players joining the DM team are Filimoni Gadolo, Kamekini Kabu and Mesake Varo.
Fiji 7s head coach Gareth Baber will join the team tomorrow.
