The Navua Magistrates’ Court has granted Businessman Thakor Punja a $1000 bail bond after he was charged with possessing marijuana.
Mr Punja faces one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs relating to 7.14 grams of marijuana.
Police prosecutor Nitesh Prasad objected to bail.
However, the court granted bail with strict conditions, including two sureties and a stop-departure order.
The case was adjourned to October 5.
