THE Fiji Teachers Union Cooperative Thrift and Credit Ltd is in the process of getting a job evaluation exercise completed.

Outgoing chairman Agni Deo Singh said this would help address the increase in staff turnover the co-operative had been facing.

“We have had an increase in staff turnover and we are now in the process of getting a job evaluation exercise completed,” he said.

Mr Singh said this would also help them retain their staff.

“This would be done so that we are able to remunerate our staff a little better and we are able to retain the staff that we have trained.”

He said the welfare of their staff was a number one priority for them.

“The Fiji Teachers Union Co-operative Thrift and Credit Ltd runs as an independent body,” Mr Singh said.

“We take good care of our staff and they are all continuers and they are not contracted.

“They have job securities and they enjoy all the benefits that the members enjoy in terms of the loan and savings as well.”
