It saddens me to note that rugby union is getting rid of some of the brutalities that make rugby union a game to watch.
The ferocity of tackles was amazing and so were the mortar charge hits.
That’s what makes rugby fascinating and tickling.
Now, rugby rules have dismissed most of the flavour of the game, leaving us with a more boring medic check-up rugby.
The rules of high tackles kept on changing for the past two years.
Now, even touching someone above the shoulder can get a yellow card and I am sure, very soon, no one will be allowed to tackle.
I hope rugby union will not come down so low to charge a player who touches another player with molesting in the near future.
Rugby union is supposed to be a gentleman’s game played by thugs.
Good luck to you Rob Kauvesi.
