THE Sugar Research Institute of Fiji will conduct a field day titled ‘Technology Transfer – Green Manuring and Mechanisation’ at the SRIF Estate Farm in Drasa, Lautoka, this Thursday (April 26).
The event is expected to draw a lot of interest from industry stakeholders and, especially, farmers, because of the focus on soil improvement through green manuring, use of mechanisation for soil ripping and
planting and discussions on cane varieties.
SRIF Acting CEO Prem Naidu and Michael Parker from the European Union Coordination Unit are scheduled to speak at the event.
