A 30-year-old man from Sabeto died after being struck by a vehicle along the Queens Road in Martintar, Nadi, early on Saturday morning.
Police identified the victim as Immanuel Harold Wallace of Aziz Road.
The incident occurred shortly after 1am.
Police said the victim was crossing the road when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old man.
The victim was taken to Nadi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police investigations into the incident continue. The victim’s family declined to be interviewed when approached by this newspaper yesterday.
