PUBLIC Rental Board’s general manager Timoci Naleba has been sent on administrative leave pending an independent investigation into allegations of abuse of office and misuse of PRB resources.
PRB board chairperson Asenaca Nawaqalevu confirmed the decision, saying the board resolved to place Mr Naleba on leave following a special meeting after formal allegations were referred to it by the Ministry of Housing.
Ms Nawaqalevu said the board had appointed Manager Properties and Development Maloni Daurewa as acting general manager.
She said the board would await the outcome of the investigation before deciding on any further action.
“The investigation is undertaken by our line ministry, the Ministry of Housing and the board now awaits the result of the investigation.”
