Speaking from Australia yesterday, Chris Heverin, the managing director of Initiative Events PTY Ltd, Spartan Australia, Fiji, says the Spartan Fiji course at Sabeto and on Sleeping Giants track will be one of the best Spartan courses in the world.
“The race will be promoted across the globe. Spartan is for everyone and we are excited to invite all Fijians to participate, get off the couch, come along with your family and friends and have the experience of a lifetime,” Heverin said.
The government, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, has thrown its weight behind this massive endeavour.

“The Fijian government and the Ministry of Tourism have been amazing in their support, both financially and also for assisting us navigate our way through our first Spartan event in Fiji,” Heverin said.
With specialised equipment imported from Australia and athletes hailing from the US, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region, this event is primed to deliver not only an athletic spectacle but a significant economic windfall.
