FIJI Airways Fiji 7s team captain Kalione Nasoko is leading his team by action and not words only.
He displayed a great leadership style when the team defeated USA 29-15 in the final of the Capetown 7s tournament in South Africa.
The 28-year-old led by example in the final, scoring two tries that helped maintain the momentum after a nail-biting semi-final clash against South Africa
Nasoko took over the captaincy role from Jerry Tuwai this season but failed to deliver in Dubai.
After two tournaments, Fiji has played a total of 12 games and has only lost one match, giving them the upper hand as the favourites of the series with a 92 per cent winning chance according to the World Rugby HSBC World Sevens Series statistics.
Nasoko has scored a total of 50 points, an average of 4.17 tries per match – and after the second leg of the series, he has scored 10 tries and has no yellow or red card.
In an all-time Seven Series stats, the Yasawa lad has played a total of 121 matches, scored 294 points that is 58 tries and at the same time received 7 yellow cards.
Meanwhile, Fiji is in a tough pool in Hamilton New Zealand with Argentina, Australia and Wales.
The HSBC Hamilton Sevens will be held from the 26th to the 27th of next month.
