THE Ecotrax Nadroga Men’s and Mixed Netball Association is preparing to field four teams at the 2026 Fiji Men’s and Mixed Netball Association (FMMNA) Championship in Lautoka next month.

The championship will be held on November 4 and 5, with Nadroga competing in the U19 Men’s, U23 Men’s, Mixed Grade and Veterans divisions.

Association president Judy Kumar said the teams had been preparing for the national competition, with most players gaining valuable match experience through an eight-week club competition. The competition has provided players with opportunities to improve their skills, teamwork and match fitness ahead of the championship. With 10 men’s teams participating in the local competition, the association continues to provide a platform for players to develop their abilities and gain exposure to higher levels of competition. The upcoming championship will also give Nadroga’s young players an opportunity to test themselves against some of the country’s established teams, particularly from Suva and Lautoka. The association acknowledged the commitment of its players, coaches and team managers in supporting the development of men’s and mixed netball in the district. Kumar, alongside Kitione Qainici and Kelerayani Waicula, is leading preparations for the tournament as the teams work towards representing Nadroga with pride. The association also acknowledged the support of sponsors Ecotrax and Salad Bowl Travel Tours, whose contributions have helped support the championship preparations and the continued growth of the sport. Nadroga’s focus will be on teamwork, discipline and commitment as the players prepare to compete against strong opposition in Lautoka. The championship is expected to provide valuable competition experience for the district’s representatives while strengthening the development of men’s and mixed netball in Nadroga.
