THE upcoming PacificAus Sports Netball Challenge Series will create opportunities for players and local coaches to strengthen their skills and gain experience in a high-performance environment.
Through training and knowledge-sharing alongside head coach Michelle Parsons, local coaches will have opportunities to develop their coaching capabilities and gain experience in assistant coaching roles.
The initiative highlights the importance of investing in local coaching talent as Netball Fiji continues to build capacity and strengthen the domestic game.
This development is particularly important in creating a stronger pathway for Fijian coaches to progress into higher-level roles and share their knowledge with players and coaching groups throughout the country.
Michelle Parsons said the Challenge Series was an important opportunity to grow the game domestically while exposing players and coaches to international competition.
“We are grateful that PacificAus Sports has backed a series committed to the domestic development of the game. This is a wonderful opportunity to grow more of our players and give them international exposure,” she said.
While Crest Fiji A will focus on building combinations, improving execution and meeting team performance targets during the series, the broader benefit will be the knowledge and experience gained by those involved.
By supporting local coaches alongside player development, the Challenge Series can contribute to a stronger foundation for netball in Fiji, helping build coaching expertise and creating more opportunities for local talent to progress.
