THE Fiji Water Flying Fijians have named a 35-member squad ahead of their November Nations Championship Tests, with a blend of experienced internationals and emerging players providing depth across the team.
The forward pack features Eroni Mawi, Peni Ravai, Luke Tagi, Inoke Ravuiwasa, Tevita Ikanivere, Zuriel Togiatama, Peniami Narisia, Vilikesa Nairau, Marika Parker, Isoa Nasilasila, Setareki Turagacoke, Mesake Vocevoce, Pita-Gus Sowakula, Lekima Tagitagivalu, Nathan Hughes, Kitione Salawa, Peceli Yato, Joseva Tamani and Elia Canakaivata.The selection provides options in the forward pack, with a mixture of experience, physical presence and versatility.
The backs are Frank Lomani, Simione Kuruvoli, Terio Tamani, Caleb Muntz, Vilimoni Botitu, Ben Volavola, Setareki Bituniyata, Vinaya Habosi, Josua Tuisova, Sireli Maqala, Iosefo Masi, Isikeli Rabitu, Jiuta Wainiqolo, Selestino Ravutaumada, Salesi Rayasi and Ponipate Loganimasi.
The three tests will provide Fiji with a challenging opportunity to measure themselves against established European opposition, as they look to make their mark in the final rounds of the Nations Championship.
Fiji will open its campaign against France on November 8, before facing Ireland on November 15, and Italy on November 22.
