The Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua head coach will be announced in a few weeks’ time.

Fiji Rugby Union interim CEO Tevita Tuiloa said there was a good mixture of coaches who had applied.

“It’s not only looking at this year but more strategic in terms of a few competitions that are coming up, women’s XVs to be introduced in 2024 together with the women’s World Cup that will be held in 2025 and that is something that we’re looking into,” he said.

“If the right people come in, we will give them the right remuneration — it all depends on what they bring to the table.

“If it is a quality package that comes in, obviously it will be quality remuneration given to them and that will be vetted by the board.”

He said with the Fijiana already in camp under the guidance of Inoke Male, they had a point to prove and that was defending the Super W, the Oceania Cup and the Test matches against Australia.

Senirusi Seruvakula stepped down as head coach last month.
