After the Rio victory many people thought everything was in place, not knowing the Fiji Rugby Union kept things quiet until Ben Ryan had spoken out.
Even if there was a change of coach, I believe the contract was to be still in place and if the new coach wants to do a few adjustments, then so be it but to completely take it away when Ryan left is wrong.
And if the FRU was thinking of the bonus that they received after the Rio victory was that huge and would it cover if their contracts were forgotten they were wrong?
I believe the bonus money was from Government and from some supportive companies and individuals and not from FRU.
Even the sponsors had contributed in some way towards the bonus.
After the Rio games, I wondered what would happen to the Fiji sevens team in the new season and without Ryan.
After winning the two series and the gold medal will we be still up there in the ranks or will we fall away.
Without a win in the first two tourneys says it all.
Ryan was at the two tournaments and hardly said anything about the performance of the Fiji team but drew a conclusion of the reasons of their failure.
Looking at the real fact with Christmas around the corner and school starting well before the next tournament, how would they possibly have something to go with.
How about having Ryan back to be at the helm of the FRU and to let him run the show?
