THE Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has confirmed that Princes Rd has reopened from Monday night.

However, traffic has been restricted to a single lane under stop and go traffic management.

“This is after one major and two minor landslides forced closures along Dilkusha in Nausori yesterday (Sunday) afternoon,” the FRA said in a statement.

“The road was closed to all traffic as debris reached above the carriageway following the heavy rain.

“Following a safety assessment, the road has been reopened to a single lane under a 24-hour stop and go arrangement.”

The FRA said public safety was paramount and they had spotters in between and with the slightest movements, they would close the whole road again.

“We may need to close the whole road again tomorrow for tree felling by the Ministry of Forestry. This will be communicated to the media.”
