Police: Man dies trapped under digger

A 37-YEAR-OLD man from Nabouciwa in Tailevu is dead after he was allegedly trapped under a digger yesterday afternoon.

In a statement, Police said the 33-year-old digger operator was reversing the digger when the rear right tyre ran over the victim.

The incident occurred along Ratu Kadavulevu Road in Wainibokasi.

Police also stated that the victim was rushed to the Wainibokasi hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death is being investigated by CID officers.
