Police are awaiting forensic test results as investigations continue into the death of a police officer who was found deceased while on duty at the Colo-i-Suva Police Post in the weekend.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that a post-mortem examination has been completed, with investigators now awaiting the outcome of further forensic analysis.
“The post mortem has been conducted awaiting results of forensic tests on biological samples obtained,” she said.
“This is to assist in determining the circumstances that led to the officer’s death.”
Police said investigations remain ongoing.
