PRIME MINISTER Sitiveni Rabuka says if adopted, the proposed 2026 Constitution disallows him from standing in the next election.
He said this while addressing participants of the 8th Pacific Islands News Association Summit presently underway in Savusavu.
Among the proposals by the Constitutional Review Commission in Chapter 9 of its report on the appointment of a Prime Minister, the Commission suggested a strict two term limit or two four-year terms for each serving PM.
The report was tabled by Mr Rabuka during a Special Sitting of Parliament yesterday.
