The General Secretary of the People’s Alliance Party, Sila Balawa, has called on party members to unite as preparations intensify for the next General Election, saying internal divisions must be set aside to strengthen the party’s campaign.
Mr Balawa said his immediate priority is ensuring the party is organised, united and election-ready, stressing that this is the time for members to rally behind a common purpose.
“If there is a time to be united, then this is it,” he said.
He urged members to put aside personal grievances and differences, saying unity would be critical to the party’s success at the polls.
“For those who may have differences or grumbles or whatever they have, they should put all that aside. We need to come together and fight as one single unit. Like the saying goes: united we stand, divided we fall.”
Mr Balawa said a united party would be better positioned to continue serving the people of Fiji and mount a strong campaign in the lead-up to the election.
He said the road to victory depended on members working together with a shared vision and common purpose.
“The road to victory is built on unity. When we stand together with one vision and one purpose, we are stronger, more resilient, and better placed to continue delivering for the people of Fiji.”
The People’s Alliance Party is expected to continue its organisational preparations and engagement with members nationwide as it gears up for the country’s next General Election.
