Students within the Bua province recently received stationery from Ignite4Change in partnership with the Fiji – Asia Pacific Youth Service and Desire to Inspire Network.
Their partnership began by reaching out to schools as well as communities in Bua that have been deeply affected by TC Yaa.
Broderick Mervyn, the Coordinator for Ignite4Change said their organisation needed to be on the ground to assist those that have been affected in particular to the children that were heading back to schools.
The team handed out 16 bails filled with stationery, clothes, kitchenware and other essentials during its outreach reaching out to Namau Primary School, Naikavaki College, Bua Primary School and Bua District School.
Mr Mervyn said students in Bua still needed more assistance as more students still do not have the basic essentials for school.
The team also visited Sawani and Nasarawaqa villages comprised of 72 and 81 families respectively and students as well as families were grateful for the timely assistance from the respective organisations.
Ignite4Change as well as its fellow partners thanks organizations such as Walking the Word Ministry and individuals from Western and Central Division that had made the TC Community Drive a success.
