COMMUTERS in the Western Division are advised that the old Nadi Back Road bridge will be closed from midnight tomorrow until further notice.
Fiji Roads Authority CEO Jonathan Moore said their team would be conducting an in-depth study with the non-destructive strength testing to ascertain if the bridge was still fit for use.
Mr Moore said there were alternative routes available via Nadi Back Road to Votualevu Roundabout, and via Queens Road to Nadi Town Centre or Votualevu Roundabout.
He said the work would result in inconveniences but added public safety was paramount.
