Oceania 7s: Inaugural exhibition match for players with hearing disability

A FIRST-ever exhibition match for players with hearing impairment was played at the 2018 Oceania 7s today.

While the result did not matter much to the player and fans, the players from the Fiji Deaf and Tourism Fiji-sponsored team created history being part of the exhibition match.

The man was organised to promote equality and diversity on the rugby field.

The match officials had received special training to officiate in a match of such kind.
