The 2026 Fiji Men’s Invitational Series concluded on Wednesday at Suva’s Vodafone Arena after three days of competitive play between Fiji and Tonga.

Fiji set the tone across the series, recording three wins, 57–18, 79–18 and 74–24. While Fiji maintained control in key moments, Tonga showed clear improvement throughout the series, finishing strongly in the final match and pushing Fiji with increased intensity.

Fiji Men’s captain Kitione Waqavonovono said the series was an important test for the team’s combinations and preparation.

“Our preparations and training were always what we wanted to display on court this week, and overall it has been a really good outcome for the Fiji men’s side,” he said.

He also acknowledged Tonga’s progress across the three days.

“We had to adjust to their calls, their style of play and make sure we kept putting points on the board,” Waqavonovono said.

Tonga Men’s captain Hilamani Lavemai said the series was a valuable learning experience for his team as they continue building towards future competitions.

The series reflects the continued growth of men’s netball in the region as both nations prepare for future international competitions, including the 2028 Men’s Netball World Cup.
