RYAN Naresh returns to Extra Bula FC for the 2027 OFC Professional League season with a winning mentality, valuable experience and a hunger to take his football career to the next level.
The 19-year-old midfielder enjoyed a memorable year, combining his first professional campaign with Extra Bula FC, domestic success with Ba and international glory with Fiji at the 2026 MSG Prime Minister’s Cup.
After Bula FC’s inaugural professional season ended in May, Naresh returned to his home district in June and helped Ba complete a historic domestic quadruple, winning the Extra Premier League, BiC Fiji FACT, Extra Battle of the Giants and FMF Inter-District Championship.
He was also part of the Fiji team that ended a more than 20-year wait for the MSG Prime Minister’s Cup title.
Now, with another professional campaign ahead, Naresh believes the lessons learned from his first season will be crucial to his continued development.
“Last season was a big learning experience for me. I learnt a lot from the coaches and the players around me, and I know there is still plenty for me to improve on,” he said.
Naresh is currently in Auckland with teammates Sterling Vasconcellos and Maikah Dau, participating in the OFC Player Placement Programme with A-League club Auckland FC.
He hopes to build on his achievements, earn his place and help Bula FC succeed in 2027.
