GIANT Fijian winger Nemani Nadolo and his wife Kim are expecting the arrival of their baby boy any time soon.
The 32-year-old who recently have signed a two-year deal with Leicester Tiger next season after agreeing to terms with the club, is overwhelmed with excitement as he awaits the arrival of his first born.
“Rugby and everything comes last now. My baby comes first,” he said. “I have a son coming and I think he will take up most of my time.
“The move to Leicester is exciting but like I said the birth of my son is important. “With what we are going through I have to take one step at a time.”
When asked what he thinks of the new Flying Fijians coach Vern Cotter and if there is a possibility that he will return to play for Fiji, Nadolo said: “all in due time.
“He is the best man to take Fiji forward,” he said.
“I will only come back if I’m really needed. “Who knows going to Leicester may help my cause but at the moment the team is sorted and have a wealth of outside backs.”
The Fiji-born wing has enjoyed a four-year stint at Montpellier, where he scored a remarkable 53 tries in just 68 games. It’s not his first time in the Premiership.
Born in Sigatoka, Fiji, the huge wing spent a short time with Exeter Chiefs back in 2011, before moving to Japan with the NEC Greenrockets. He spent four seasons with the Top League side, where he averaged more than a try a game, before starring for the Crusaders side in Super Rugby, where the proven finisher bagged 27 tries in 40 games over two seasons in Christchurch between 2014 and 2016.
According to RugbyPass Nadolo was a star of the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England with his native Fiji, but retired from international rugby prior to the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Making the decision in January of last year, Nadolo cited challenges both on and off the field over the previous 18 months and explained it was a move that was right for him and his family.
He has sent out a strong message stating that people should follow the rules since we are going through a world crisis due to COVID-19.
“Honestly follow the rules, it’s simple. .
“Whether you follow the Government or not respect what they say. It’s tough times ahead for all of us.”
