The Nadi Town Council will hold a stakeholder consultation on Friday to discuss the proposed declaration of Nadi as a city.

In a public notice, the council invited stakeholders to attend the consultation from 5.45pm to 8pm at the Nadi Civic Centre on October 23.

The consultation is intended to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share their views, discuss key issues and contribute ideas towards Nadi’s future development as it moves towards city status.

The invitation was issued on behalf of the chairperson and Board of Special Administrators.

The council said stakeholder participation and input would be appreciated as it worked collaboratively towards transforming Nadi from a town into a city.

The proposed city declaration marks a significant step in Nadi’s development aspirations, with the consultation providing a platform for stakeholders to contribute to discussions about the town’s future.
