POLICE are investigating the death of a man in his late 20s from Vunika, Labasa, following an accident along the Vou tramline yesterday morning.
The incident allegedly involved a locomotive, with police questioning a 58-year-old locomotive driver and his co-driver.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation,” police said in a statement.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Police are also expected to continue interviewing people who may have information relevant to the investigation.
