Lal wins Indra Warjan trophy

JYOTI Lal was the overall winner of the Indra Warjan Trophy at the Ba Golf Club last weekend, finishing with an impressive net score of 65.

The tournament served as the final weekend event for Ba Golf Club ahead of the prestigious RCM Ba Open, which will be held on August 15 and 16.

Lal also claimed the nearest-to-the-pin prize on hole three and 12, adding to an impressive outing on the course.

Ashish Chand topped the overall gross category with a score of 70, while Ashwin Sharma secured first place in the A Grade net category with 66.

Sponsor and former Fiji team gold medallist Indra Warjan finished second in the A Grade with 68, while Raven Kumar was third with 73.

In the B Grade, Mohammed Ali took first place with 66, followed by Marshal Pillai on 71 and Brendan Daniel on 71.

Tarun Sewak won the C Grade with 66, while Anaya Saanvi finished second with 69 and Ravinesh Chand third with 72.

Christopher Daniel won the longest drive, while Ali also claimed the second-best shot prize.

The Ba Golf Club thanked Warjan, along with its officials, volunteers, match committee, starters, card officials and members for contributing to the success of the tournament.

Attention now turns to the RCM Ba Open this weekend, with golfers expected to converge on the Ba Golf Club for the two-day tournament.
