Kadavu murder case transferred to High Court

THE case against two men who allegedly murdered a man last year has been transferred to the High Court.

Apisai Lomani and Leone Naisake appeared before Magistrate Deepika Prakash at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.

Mr Lomani is also charged with one count of unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs.

The duo allegedly caused the death of Filipe Loloma at Wailialia farm in Kadavu.

The alleged incident took place on December 26 last year.

Defence had informed the court that the prosecution was yet to serve the full disclosures to the two accused persons.

The duo has been further remanded in custody and they will reappear in court on January 31.
