Glen Jackson will depart the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua after five years of being with the club and less than two years into his contract as head coach.
The club announced the departure at 11am today.
It is understood the club and Jackson mutually agreed to not activate the third-year option in his contract.
Jackson took up the key role last season, after former head coach Mick Byrne took up the role of head coach for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, now its former holder.
In a statement, the club’s chief executive Jeff Miller thanked Jackson for his commitment and work with the club.
He emphasised the mission at hand of seeing the team finish the Super Rugby Pacific season took precedence after which, reflections on fond memories would follow.
Jackson thanked the club and its stakeholders for “an incredible five years of my life.”
Meanwhile, the Fijian Drua face the Brumbies at 9.30pm this Friday at the GIO Stadium in Canberra, Australia.
