International Women’s Day is a time to recognise the achievements of women and the important role they play in our workplaces, communities, and society.
Across every industry, women continue to bring knowledge, leadership, and dedication to the work they do, helping organisations grow and communities move forward.
At Telecom Fiji, women contribute across many areas of the organisation. From engineering and technical roles to customer service, operations, administration, and leadership, women play an important role in ensuring the company continues to deliver reliable connectivity to communities across Fiji.
Their work supports families, businesses, and communities to stay connected, while also helping drive the country’s digital development.
As the telecommunications industry continues to evolve, the contributions of women remain essential in shaping innovation, improving services, and strengthening the organisation.
The 2026 International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” highlights the value of supporting one another and creating opportunities for others to succeed.
Often, progress begins with simple acts — offering encouragement, sharing knowledge, or giving someone the chance to step forward and grow in their role.
Empowering someone’s dreams and giving them an opportunity can make a lasting difference.
When people are supported and encouraged to reach their potential, they gain confidence and the ability to contribute more meaningfully to the organisations and communities they are part of.
An important part of this journey is women lifting up other women. Mentorship, collaboration, and shared experiences help create stronger workplaces where women feel supported to grow professionally and personally.
When women celebrate each other’s successes and encourage one another to pursue new opportunities, it helps build a culture of confidence and inclusion.
Creating opportunities for women to thrive in the workplace is an important step toward building stronger organisations.
When individuals are encouraged to develop their skills, share their ideas, and take on new challenges, it creates a more dynamic and inclusive environment for everyone.
The spirit of “Give to Gain” reminds us that progress is not achieved alone.
By supporting each other, sharing opportunities, and encouraging the next generation of women to pursue their ambitions, we help create workplaces where everyone has the chance to succeed.
This International Women’s Day, Telecom Fiji celebrates the many women who contribute to the organisation and to communities across the country.
Their dedication, resilience, and commitment continue to inspire others and play an important role in building a more connected and inclusive future for Fiji.
