SUVA City can welcome two new hotels in the coming years as the Hilton Group completes the construction of two new properties in the capital.

The Hilton Garden Inn and Hilton Suva will bring the total number of properties owned in the country by the group to four.

Currently, the group manages Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa and Doubletree Resort by Hilton Sonaisali Island.

Hilton Fiji cluster general manager David Wells said it was a very exciting time for the hotel and its staff.

“We have two new properties under development and construction in Suva, so the Hilton footprint is growing in Fiji,” he said.

“The first property to open will be the Hilton Garden Inn which will have about 178 rooms and this is scheduled to open in the second half of 2020.”

He said the second property – Hilton Suva – would open towards 2022.
