THE Hibiscus Festival 2026 Charity Chest has raised $44,907.90, with contributions received from eight of the festival’s 11 sponsors.

Hibiscus Festival director Ellen Whippy-Knight confirmed the amount, saying the funds would support charitable causes and community organisations, particularly those with limited financial resources.

All the 11 contestants also took part in this year’s fundraising drive, contributing to the festival’s wider community support initiatives.

The Charity Chest is a longstanding feature of the Hibiscus Festival, with contestants and sponsors raising funds for individuals, groups and communities in need.

The latest contribution reflects continued support from festival sponsors towards the event’s charitable objectives and its commitment to giving back to the community.
