Excited to start his high school journey, Asish Kumar a Year 9 student of Xavier College in Ba, says he is happy to finally be in high school.
“I am very happy to be here with my family doing my school shopping,” he said.
“The same friends that I was with in primary school are joining me in high school and that is what I am looking forward to the most.”
Kumar says his goal this year is to pass his exams with flying colours. He chose math as his favourite subject.
“I’m taking office technology and basic technology as my combination this year and I will try my best to enjoy it,” he said.
“The $200 government school assistance has really helped me and my family this year and that is why I want to do well in school so that I can make them proud.”
