Sagdev Goundar set a course record to win the Tata Club (NZ)-sponsored 18 holes stroke event at the Fiji Sugar Corporation Penang Golf Club in Rakiraki on Saturday
The Penang Sangam School bursar played a round of 36 and 30 to return a gross score of 66. Goundar carded a two under par round of 30 in the second nine to set a new course record.
Meanwhile, 14 handicapper Bhupesh Dass won the first nett prize after carding 53
Michael Naidu, Aman Goundar, Prakash Naicker, Kumar Sami and Anish Chand won the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th nett titles respectively.
Asish Kumar was nearest to pin on the 9th hole while Mohinesh Sharma hit the longest drive on the 18th.
“We are hosting an 18-hole stroke event on Sunday which is being sponsored by Skynet Fiji of Ba,” said the club president Anish Chand.
