Goundar Shipping Limited has commended the captain and crew of the Lomaiviti Princess 12 for their role in the successful search and rescue of six missing medical personnel at sea.
In a statement, GSL Management paid tribute to Captain, person referred as Drick and his crew, describing their actions as courageous, professional and driven by a strong commitment to saving lives.
The company also thanked God for His protection and guidance throughout the rescue operation, saying faith played an important role during the challenging mission.
Following the rescue, the Lomaiviti Princess 12 continued its voyage to Lakeba to ensure the rescued medical personnel received the necessary care before proceeding to Oneata later in the evening.
Goundar Shipping also acknowledged the patience and understanding of passengers aboard the vessel, saying their cooperation allowed the captain and crew to focus fully on the emergency operation.
The company praised everyone involved, saying the crew’s bravery, teamwork and willingness to respond in a time of need reflected the true spirit of service, compassion and responsibility.
