Aluminium and glass manufacturer SEN DA (Fiji) Pte Ltd has expanded its operations with the opening of a new warehouse and production facility in Suva as it seeks to meet growing demand from Fiji’s construction sector.
The facility, officially opened last Saturday as the company celebrated its 10th year in Fiji, is expected to increase production capacity, improve operational efficiency and reduce delivery times for customers in Suva and surrounding areas.
Co-director Chen Chen said the expansion was a significant milestone for the business and reflected its confidence in Fiji’s long-term economic prospects.
“The opening of our new Suva factory marks another milestone in SEN DA’s 10-year journey in Fiji,” Mr Chen said.
“This expansion significantly enhances our production capacity and delivery efficiency, allowing us to serve more customers with greater speed while offering an even wider range of high-quality aluminium and glass products.”
Mr Chen said Fiji was chosen as the company’s investment destination because of its political stability, economic potential and increasing demand for quality construction materials.
Since entering the Fijian market in 2016, SEN DA has supplied aluminium and glass products for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across the country.
The company, Mr Chen said, has adapted its products to meet local building standards and Fiji’s tropical conditions.
He said the business had also invested in training local employees and creating jobs over the past decade.
“Over the past decade, we have grown together with Fiji. Today, we no longer see ourselves as simply a foreign-owned company operating in Fiji; we are proud to be a genuine local Fijian enterprise, working alongside the people of this country to build its future,” he said.
Looking ahead, the company plans to invest further in manufacturing technology, expand its aluminium and glass product range and create additional employment opportunities. It also intends to increase its involvement in community development initiatives.
Mr Chen acknowledged and thanked customers, suppliers and business partners for supporting the company’s growth, saying SEN DA remained committed to maintaining high product standards while contributing to the continued development of Fiji’s construction industry.
