All funds raised from the 2022 Fiji Bitter Namalata, Kadavu 7s will go towards the building of new teachers’ quarters and renovations at Namalata Central College.
This, according to tournament coordinator Malakai Yamaivava.
“We will try and raise as much funds as possible so we can build some new quarters for teachers here plus there are some general renovations which needs to be done,” Yamaivava said.
He added the sponsors of the event received a request from the school committee for the upgrade works. Yamaivava said they were looking at raising close to $15,000.
“We are planning on building three new teachers’ quarters and doing general maintenance works in the classrooms once the funds are raised.”
The three-day tournament kicks off tomorrow.
